- Measurement with Calibrated Dipole
A calibrated dipole and a spectrum analyzer were used here. The calibrated dipole measures the maximum electromagnetic radiation – straight up (along z-axis). Two distances from the cellular phone have been used. The idea “without protection” means a situation in which the process of measuring radiation was made without the case at the moment of the call. · The distance between bipolar and cellular phone – 35 cm In the first measuring the cellular phone put connections on two channels (table 1.) 896.25 MHz and 902.90 MHz; measured field strength was 6.668 V/m and 5.578 V/m. After that the protection was installed and the call was repeated. The channel was on 896.30 MHz, and the field strength was 1.496 V/m. Distance: 35 cm |
| Frequency (MHz) | Power (dBm) | Strength (V/m) | No protection | 896.25 | -2.61 | 6.668 | | No protection | 902.90 | -4.16 | 5.578 | | With protection | 896.30 | -15.59 | 1.496 | · The distance between bipolar and cellular phone – 25 cm In the second measuring the cellular phone put a connection on the channel (table 2.) 904.45 MHz; measured field strength was 7.516 V/m. Then the protection was installed and the call was repeated. The channel was on 904.45 MHz and the field strength was 2.556 V/m.
